SYNOPSIS
May 20, 1902 marks the beginning of the Republic of Cuba. The political system inaugurated on this date in history has been the subject of both pejorative criticism as well as apologies in different academic and political spaces in Cuba. We´re here to try to understand the nuances this analysis deserves and to debate about the establishment of the Republic.
